Good records turn installation quality into something that can be verified. They help teams coordinate work, confirm that the specification was followed and provide useful information for future maintenance.
Create a project file before installation
Collect the approved system specification, drawings, current technical documents and agreed finish samples in one location.
- Product names and batch numbers
- Current TDS and SDS documents
- Area measurements and material quantities
- Approved colours, textures and details
Record each application stage
Photographs, environmental readings, mixing records and coverage checks should be added as work proceeds. Any deviation and corrective action must be documented clearly.
Complete a structured handover
The final record should include inspection notes, maintenance guidance and the products used. Store it where both the installer and client can retrieve it later.
